ABOUT STEP NUTRITION
Step Nutrition is a Melbourne-based Dietetic practice that aims to make the complexities of food and nutrition simple.
We provide evidenced-based nutrition education, information and dietetic consultations to empower you to reach your health and nutrition goals. We promote sustainable lifestyle changes and support clients to turn their small steps into small wins.
Whether you are an athlete trying to maximise performance, wanting specific nutrition advice or an everyday person looking to improve your health, we are here to support you through your health journey one step at a time!

Benjamin David APD
Ben is an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with extensive experience working in community health and clinical settings across metropolitan Melbourne. He specialises in weight management, nutritional management of diabetes and nutrition for older adults. He recognises the unique needs and challenges that each individual faces and works together with them to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
During his career, Ben has also worked at Monash Nutrition, assisting nutrition researchers communicate high-level research and technical terms into easily-digestible content through various media channels for the general public.

He participates in ongoing education through regular attendance of dietetics conferences, courses and being involved in nutrition research. He is a professional member of Dietitians Australia and the Nutrition Society of Australia.
Ben established Step Nutrition with the aim to help make the complexities of food and nutrition simple so that his clients can reach their health and wellbeing goals through simple, clear and effective steps.

Melissa D'Elia APD
Melissa is an Accredited Practicing Dietitian who has completed a Masters of Dietetics at Monash University.
She translates evidenced-based scientific information into individualised, practical advice.
She has a caring and supportive nature and is dedicated to creating a tailored diet plan that is right for you and will help you to achieve your goals.
Melissa works across all aspects of dietetics and has a particular interest in gastrointestinal issues, including IBS, FODMAP, coeliac disease, and food intolerances, as well as plant based nutrition, weight management and heart health.
Melissa believes that diet plays a role in all areas of health, not just physical, but also emotional, social, intellectual and environmental.
She takes all these aspects into account to provide a holistic approach to solving nutrition problems and achieving your health goals.
She is passionate about helping people to establish a healthy relationship with food, allowing you to be happy and healthy while reaching your goals.
